Nepal Army Rescues Two Individuals from Ganesh Himal Base Camp

The Nepal Army successfully conducted an aerial rescue operation for two individuals at Ganesh Himal Base Camp on Thursday afternoon. According to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information, the rescue was carried out using a Nepal Army helicopter after the two individuals became unwell and required immediate medical attention.

A team of 15 people, including Chief Bishnu Prasad Acharya of the Division Forest Office in Dhading, had reached Ganesh Himal Base Camp as part of an initiative to promote tourism in the region. Among the group, two members fell ill, prompting their evacuation to Kathmandu for treatment.

The rescue highlights the commitment of Nepal’s military forces to providing rapid response and support to individuals in remote areas, as well as the potential for further development in medical and emergency services to ensure the safety of those exploring Nepal’s mountainous landscapes.
