Devghatdham, a revered religious site situated at the tri-junction of Chitwan, Nawalparasi, and Tanahu districts, witnessed an overwhelming influx of devotees today as they gathered to celebrate the Maghe Sankranti Fair.
From the early hours of the morning, thousands of devotees from across Nepal and neighboring India have been arriving at the sacred site to participate in the religious observance. The fair, a major annual event, is marked by rituals and cultural festivities.
In a bid to facilitate pilgrims, the local government has introduced free boat services. Devotees traveling from Gaindakot to Devghatdham can avail themselves of this service. Additionally, rafting boat services are being provided for free from Keladighat to the Beni site in Devghat, as confirmed by Shivakant Tiwari, the Ward Chair of Gaindakot Municipality-3.
This initiative has enhanced accessibility to the holy site, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for the attendees. The vibrant gathering reflects the cultural and spiritual significance of Maghe Sankranti and underscores the enduring devotion of the participants.
The celebration at Devghatdham is expected to continue throughout the day, offering a blend of faith, festivity, and community spirit.
